Elham (Ellie) Shafa

Elham (Ellie) Shafa is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, and Estate Planning Instructor at UCLA Extension.

She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 2004, where she graduated magna cum laude. During law school, she served as a Law Extern to the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson at the United States District Court.  She also served as the Lead Articles Editor of Law Review, authored and published a Law Review Article titled Reverse Piercing of the Corporate Veil: The Implications of Bypassing “Ownership” Interest.

She has a wide range of experience and expertise in high net-worth estate and gift planning, sophisticated estate and trust administration, estate and trust litigation and dispute resolution. Creation of estate plans, including revocable and irrevocable trusts. Drafting and arguing various types of petitions, court appearances, depositions, settlement negotiations, mediation and trial preparation.
